Occupational Health and Safety Training was Held for Students at Edremit Vocational School
As part of the training series organized by our University's Occupational Health and Safety Coordinatorship, a comprehensive information program was conducted for students at Edremit Vocational School.
Our Occupational Health and Safety Coordinatorship continues its educational activities with the aim of reinforcing our students' academic knowledge with practical safety awareness. In this regard, our students studying at Edremit Vocational School were provided with training on the risks they may encounter in their professional lives and their legal rights.
In the training provided by our Workplace Physician Özgür GÖRGÜLÜ and Occupational Safety Specialist Neslihan ALTINKÖPRÜ, who work under our Coordinatorship, the topic of occupational health and safety was discussed from both medical and technical perspectives.
The main topics covered in the training are as follows:
Occupational Health and Hygiene: Methods of preventing occupational diseases conveyed by our workplace physician and first aid awareness.
Technical Safety: Risk analysis, identification of hazard sources, and safe working methods provided by our occupational safety specialist.
Personal Protective Equipment: Department-specific correct equipment selection and usage discipline.
Legal Legislation: Employee and intern rights under the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331.
As the Occupational Health and Safety Coordinatorship, our primary goal is to enable our students to internalize safety culture while they are still in the classroom. The training, which concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, featured Özgür GÖRGÜLÜ and Neslihan ALTINKÖPRÜ, who answered students' sector-specific questions and shared their field experiences.
