"Occupational Health and Safety" training was conducted for students of the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Department at Savaştepe Vocational School.
As the University Occupational Health and Safety Coordinatorship, we continue our educational activities aimed at helping our students make safe working practices a part of their professional lives.
As part of the program organized by our Coordinatorship, a comprehensive "Occupational Health and Safety Training" was conducted for students of the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Department at Savaştepe Vocational School. The training, which combined theoretical and practical knowledge, conveyed safe working principles to future technicians.
A Safe Future Under the Guidance of Our Experts
In the training provided by our Coordination Office staff and OHS Experts Özgür GÖRGÜLÜ and Dilara ÖZESMER, biological, chemical, and physical risks that may be encountered particularly in laboratory and field work were discussed in detail.
The key topics we focused on during the training:
Risk Analysis: Identifying hazards in the work environment in advance.
PPE Use: Proper selection and use of profession-specific personal protective equipment.
Legal Legislation: Rights and obligations of employees within the scope of occupational health and safety.
Laboratory Discipline: Safe sample collection and chemical management.
Our training will continue in all our units.
As the Occupational Health and Safety Coordinatorship, our primary goal is to ensure that all students at our university embrace the "Zero Workplace Accidents" vision while they are still in the process of their education. In this regard, our experts Özgür GÖRGÜLÜ and Dilara ÖZESMER, who answered questions from students, raised awareness by sharing their field experience with our students.
We would like to thank the management of Savaştepe Vocational School and our participating students; and respectfully announce to the public that the trainings organized by our coordinator office will continue as planned across all our academic units.
