Occupational Health and Safety Training Was Provided to Students Who Will Work Under the auspices of İŞKUR in Our Gulf Region Units
The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Coordinatorship at Balıkesir University organized a training program for students who will be working within the scope of the İŞKUR Labor Market Readjustment Program at our university's units located in the Gulf region (Edremit, Burhaniye, Ayvalık, Gömeç, Havran).
The training, organized to establish a Occupational Health and Safety culture and ensure a safe working environment, was conducted by Occupational Safety Specialist Neslihan ALTINKÖPRÜ.
During the training seminar held, fundamental topics such as labor legislation, legal rights and responsibilities of employees, causes of work accidents and principles of prevention, use of personal protective equipment, and actions to be taken in emergency situations were discussed in detail.
Occupational Safety Specialist Neslihan ALTINKÖPRÜ drew attention to the risk factors students may encounter in the units where they will be working and emphasized the importance of full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. The training, which attracted great interest from the students, concluded after a question-and-answer session.
